There
are many college recruiting services out
there available to high school athletes. And, many of
them are companies providing very valuable services. However,
most of them just concentrate on one or two aspects or
phases of the recruiting process, which is, more often
than not, the Introductory Phase. It may involve a promise
such as, "Give us $800, $900, or more and we'll send your
Profile to every college in the nation. Every coach will
know about you." That's great, but if you have a 2.5 GPA,
do you think that the Harvard or Stanford coach will seriously
consider you? Or, if you're a male water polo player,
does it make sense to pay $800 to send these letters to
"every school in the nation" when there are less than
50 colleges in the entire NCAA that sponsor a men's water
polo program?

|
| In
the alternative, you may consider taking the high-tech approach
to getting recruiting-have a company put your Profile on
the Internet where it is available to college coaches 24/7
. . . and then you sit and wait . . . and wait . . . for
some feedback. Well, if you are a female volleyball player
who is 5'8", 135 lbs., right-handed, with a 3.0 GPA, you
look just like hundreds of other girls who have Profiles
posted. What's more, you must realize that there are a multitude
of companies providing this same type of service. Therefore,
if a college coach is actually considering pursuing this
source for potential recruits, he/she will probably have
a limited amount of time and, therefore, will only look
at a limited number of the many sites available. |
|
| Realizing
these problems, the College Recruiting Group decided
to take a completely different and unique approach. We are
involved in all aspects of the recruiting process, from
beginning to end, including: |
| |
| 1.
A personalized College Assessment Evaluation to determine
what you, the athlete (and your parents), want out of the
college experience. |
| |
| 2.
Publishing sports-specific College Recruiting Directories,
which identify the schools that have your sport. |
| |
| 3.
Producing your College Recruiting Videos, the single
most valuable recruiting tool an athlete can have (if it
is done properly), to teaching you how to decide which scholarship
offer is best for you. |
| |
|
Our
program allows you to achieve a successful college recruiting
experience in a number of ways-from a virtually FREE
do-it-yourself approach using information that is shared
with you at one of our no-cost seminars
(email
us
to set up a no-cost seminar at your club or high school),
to investing in our one-on-one individual counseling services,
whereby we work with you on a very personal and individualized
basis continuously throughout your junior and senior years
of high school.
|
| |
| This
approach has proven to be successful with over 90% of
the athletes we have worked with in the past ten years.
Our goal is not only for you to become "recruited," but
to earn offers from colleges that are good matches for you
-- athletically and academically --
as well as for other desired aspects, such as size of school,
geographical location, major, etc. |
